Steven Gerrard hopes Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool for another two years

Gerrard has also revealed he has spoken to former Liverpool goalkeeping coach John Achterberg about Salah’s desire to stay at the club.

“So I hope he stays. I hope he can do more for us, but I’m not surprised because he’s a professional and a very talented player. It’s not surprising that he plays consistently all the time.”

However, Gerrard, who currently manages Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq, is hopeful Salah will eventually stay at Liverpool for another two years.
